We met when we were in the WI together and I have so many happy memories of the fun and laughter we had at patchwork and preparing for Stithians show. Those of you who knew Doreen will be aware she was the most incredible artist and needlewoman. Doreen's machine embroidery was second to none and was not only highly original, but it was admired by the Judges in the crafts section at Show. Her work was instrumental in our coming first on many occasions. More importantly was Doreen as a special friend, always a pleasure to be with, never complaining and even when so poorly always cheerful. We will all miss you. Marian Hindle
